Terms of Service
Keep by Heed
Last Updated: February 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Keep at keep.takingheed.com, a product of Heed operated by Jordan Valverde. By creating an account or using Keep, you agree to these Terms.
These Terms supplement the Heed Terms of Service and apply specifically to the Keep product.
1. About Keep
Keep is a biblically-grounded family feedback tool that facilitates structured weekly check-ins between family members. Keep provides a framework for honest, recurring feedback within your household — it is not therapy, counseling, or professional mental health treatment.
2. Eligibility & Accounts
Account Creation
You must be at least 18 years old to create a Keep account and workspace. By creating a workspace, you become the workspace owner and accept responsibility for managing your household's use of Keep.
Family Member Profiles
The workspace owner may create profiles for family members, including minor children. By adding a minor child to your workspace, you represent that you are their parent or legal guardian and consent to their participation in Keep's feedback cycles.
Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and your profile PIN. Keep uses a shared-device model where multiple family members may access the platform from a single device. Each profile is protected by an individual PIN. You agree to keep PINs private and not share them between family members.
3. Subscriptions & Billing
Free Trial
New accounts receive a 14-day free trial with full access to all features. No payment information is required to start a trial.
Paid Plans
After the trial period, a paid subscription is required to create new weekly check-ins. Available plans and pricing are displayed on the Keep website and settings page. Prices may change with reasonable notice; existing subscribers on annual plans will not be affected until their renewal date.
Payment Processing
Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service. Keep does not store your full payment card details.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing management portal accessible from your Keep settings. Upon cancellation, you retain access to your account and existing feedback data, but you will not be able to start new check-in cycles after your current billing period ends.
Refunds
We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods. If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from using Keep, contact us and we will work with you to resolve it.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Keep in good faith for its intended purpose: facilitating honest, constructive feedback within your household. You agree NOT to:
- Use Keep to harass, demean, or emotionally abuse family members
- Submit feedback that contains threats, slurs, or content intended to harm
- Create accounts for fraudulent purposes
- Attempt to access feedback data outside of Keep's intended permission model
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of Keep
- Use automated systems to access Keep (bots, scrapers, etc.)
- Share your account credentials with individuals outside your household
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
5. Feedback Content
Ownership
You retain ownership of all feedback content you submit through Keep, including ratings, written responses, self-reviews, and action items.
License
By submitting content to Keep, you grant us a limited license to store, process, encrypt, decrypt, and display your content as necessary to operate the platform. This license exists solely to provide the Keep service to you and your household. We will not use your feedback content for any other purpose.
No Guarantee of Accuracy
Keep facilitates feedback between family members. We do not verify, endorse, or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or helpfulness of any feedback submitted by any user. The feedback you receive reflects the perspective of the person who submitted it.
6. Privacy & Data
Your use of Keep is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information, including specific protections for children's data and encrypted feedback storage. Please review it carefully.
7. Intellectual Property
The Keep platform, including its design, code, feedback templates, biblical question frameworks, and brand identity, is the intellectual property of Heed and Jordan Valverde. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from Keep without written permission.
The biblical texts referenced in Keep's feedback templates are in the public domain.
8. Disclaimers
Not Professional Advice
Keep is a feedback facilitation tool. It is not a substitute for marriage counseling, family therapy, pastoral counseling, or any form of professional mental health treatment. If you or a family member are experiencing a crisis, please contact a qualified professional or call 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline).
Service Availability
We strive to keep Keep available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The platform may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.
Feedback Outcomes
We are not responsible for how feedback is interpreted, discussed, or acted upon within your household. Keep provides a structured framework, but the conversations and decisions that follow are yours.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Heed and its owner shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Keep, including but not limited to emotional distress, relationship outcomes, or data loss.
Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of Keep shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
By You
You may stop using Keep at any time. You may cancel your subscription and request account deletion by contacting us.
By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior within the platform, or if we are required to do so by law. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before termination except in cases of serious violations.
Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your access to Keep will end. Your data will be retained for 90 days to allow for reactivation, after which it will be permanently deleted.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by posting the updated Terms on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of Keep after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
